At FELIXprinters we understand even the smallest details matter. We noticed the standard filament spool holders could use a little more grip and a smoother flow of unwinding filament. That is why we went back to the drawing board and developed a slick and robust filament spool holder for both Pro and Tec Series.

Due to the use of a physical bearing, filament unwinds very gentle and smoothly. This is especially great for flexible kind of filaments. Also the grip onto the printer frame has been redesigned, improving the lifetime of the filament holders.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Print it yourself

Best thing about having a 3D printer is the ability to print your own tools. We have released the .STL files for you so you can print the parts yourself. All you need is PLA and a few parts which are listed below.

To assemble the spool holder you need the following parts:

• 3 x M4 x 8
• 1 x Bearing MR6804-ZZ

3D Print Settings

We would like to recommend you to use standard PLA to print the parts. Recommended layer height is 250 micron and 30% infill. No support is required for printing but using a brim is recommended.
