There is nothing more annoying than receiving a brand new product that doesn’t work. We totally understand that and we all know the feeling of disappointment. At FELIXprinters we want our customers to have a great experience from the start with their brand new equipment. That’s why we perform extensive tests on all the components. Tests are done at the manufacturer or at our factory in The Netherlands. The components we will highlight in this article are the main boards we we use in our 3D printers.

The main board is pretty much the brain of a 3D printer. All FELIX 3D printers are fitted with custom-made or customised main boards. For example, for the Pro Series a custom-made board was necessary to fit in the unusual design of the 3D printer. Also to be able to use special developed FELIX features, custom main boards are required.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Part of providing of a functional and reliable product is testing individual the main boards thoroughly. Our Netherlands based production partner is performing several tests on each main board to make sure they are working properly before they are being shipped to the FELIX Factory.

To test the main boards a special test unit is used. This test unit is designed to test all the components on the FELIX main boards. Once the boards passes the test, they will be released and shipped by the supplier to our factory.
